We are Blue Knights NY VIII, located in Colonie, NY. Our chapter is located near the State Capital Albany, New York and the first Blue Knights chapter in the area was NY VI established and chartered in 1975, by J. Ron Dillon. Our Group, NY VIII was chartered by Blue Knights International on January 1, 1988.

John Scavo was our first President with Dick Small as Vice President, Harry Hussey as Secretary and Bob Krug as our Treasurer. Our Chapter continues to grow in 2006. Our Immediate Past President Larry E. Moyer was President for more years than he wants to admit or even remember.

In 2004, Our Chapter Newsletter " Scribbles" was awarded the coveted Guy Clow Memorial " GLRC " Newsletter Award for the Best Blue Knights Newsletter of the Year.
